You know nothing…
To be honest, I prefer to speak to the people who are in the same historical knowledge level with me but even so;
This comment is a very good indicator that shows your historical ignorance to everybody. I recommend you read more from different and independent resources. It’s obvious that you need it. I think you can start from Battle Of Canakkale (1915–1916), Capture of Izmir (1922)…
Although Ottoman looks like an Islamic empire, it’s pretty far away from the Islamic approach. At least, as a Muslim, I never heard a principle that commanded to the killing of the brothers each other for power like how Ottoman sultans did in the past. Turkish people owe nothing to an empire which is sick and almost dead like Ottoman.
I wonder whether you knew how the “dictator” you mentioned has helped to move up the culture level of the folk by the revolutions like changing alphabet, giving a right to vote and to be elected and etc.
Also, I wonder; Have you heard saying of “Peace at home, peace in the world” that said by the “dictator” you mentioned??
If Turkish people owe something to someones, they might be only Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his friends.

I’m always open to discussions with wise and kind people regarding history. However, the person you’re talking about is our national hero and your accusations are quite rude and nasty. Personally, I can find many resources that support every single the item I wrote in the article. Can you do it as well? What are your resources? Who are the people Ataturk killed without any reason?
